Rules of the Game
The object of the game is to write an argument in agreement or disagreement of the issue at hand. You must provide a supporting link backing up your argument. Then other website members will read and vote on good arguments. Once the issue end date passes voting stops and awards are given out.
- Any website viewer (logged in or not) can make 1 public vote in the Agree/Disagree section which effects the Current Results per Issue
- A user is only allowed to have 1 account on Controversy Today
- A user can create 1 (and only 1) argument on an issue
- Argument and supporting link must be related and relevant to the issue at hand
- Plug link must be nonviolent, non pornographic etc.
- After a user creates an argument he/she is allowed to vote on their own and/or any other issue
- A user can vote on mutable arguments
- Once the Issue end date has passed, all voting will stop and awards are given out
- Each Issue has 6 scoring places, awards are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place on each side of the Issue. Member awards can be seen in the trophy room.
- All scheduled debates close at midnight.
